Homemade Guacamole

Guacamole is one of my favorite things to eat and this recipe will blow you away! Salt, acid, fat, and a little heat to entice your taste buds and impress your guests.

INGREDIENTS

PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

5 LARGE AVOCADOS

1 SERRANO PEPPER (FINELY DICED)

1/2 CUP OF DICED RED ONION

1/8 CUP OF MINCED GARLIC

1/4 CUP OF FRESH CILANTRO

2 WHOLE LIMES

1/2 TBSP KOSHER SALT

1/2 TBSP BLACK PEPPER

1/4 CUP OF DICED TOMATOES (OPTIONAL)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut your avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop them into a bowl.

  2. Add your serrano pepper, diced red onion, minced garlic, fresh cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper.

  3. Mash the mixture until it reaches a creamy consistency (Kitchen Hack: try using a potato masher, they work great for more than just potatoes!)

  4. Top with diced tomatoes.

  5. Serve alongside your favorite tortilla chips and ENJOY!
